Your Instructor
Alana is a highly experienced consultant with over 16 years experience in supporting schools to improve success outcomes for learners. She has previously worked for the Ministry of Education and been involved in the facilitation of national contracts aimed at improving leadership, pedagogy, curriculum, pathways and partnerships. She has been the national secondary literacy online facilitator and has proven expertise in accelerating learning in a number of secondary schools. Her breadth of experience ranges from working with iwi and schools in Whanganui to achieve iwi aspirations, culturally responsive leadership, improving writing, Pasifika success, disciplinary literacy, improved reporting, accelerating learning in mathematics and more.
